Obituary for Bruce Thomas Romero

Bruce Thomas Romero
Bruce Thomas Romero was born to proud parents Avaristo and Dora Romero. He lived in Chimayo all his life except for a short while when he lived and worked in Reno, Nevada. He was a private contractor and plaster leaving behind his beautiful work in so many homes. Bruce ‘s priority in life was his wife, children, and parents. Just as important were his brother, sisters, nieces and nephews. "Familia" was so important to him. Wherever Bruce was invited to, he would be there to accompany family and friends. He served as a good example to his sons and his nephews teaching them how to work and emphasizing the importance of learning how to work and being a good worker. Bruce enjoyed the New Mexico outdoors. When he wasn’t working he made time for fishing, hunting, and camping with family and friends. He was a very positive person; there was not room for negativity and he always made the best out of a given situation and looked on the bright side of things. Bruce will be remembered most for "always" making time in his busy day to help anyone in need but never expecting anything in return. His beautiful smile and the cute giggle of his will be forever be imprinted in our memories of him. Bruce was preceded in death by three nephews Raul, Joaquin, and Willie Salazar. Bruce is survived by his wife Cindy, sons Ruben and Adam, parents Avaristo and Dora Romero, Brothers Roy Romero, Joe Romero and wife Mary, Sisters Rose Fetchko, Nary Maestas, Adrina Cordova and Rick, Annabelle Lopez and husband Mike, Betty Walker and husband Douglas, Mother- and father-in-law Maryann and Seferino Archuleta, Brother-in-law Michael Velasquez, Sister-in-law Jolene and husband Richard Montoya. Nephews: Ronnie, Jose, & Marcos Romero; Leroy, Jesse and Ivan Maestas, Ricky, Jonathan, and Jason Cordova; Eliseo, Isaiah Salazar, Michael Velasquez, and Ricky Montoya. Surviving nieces are Kendra Walker, Jennifer Fetchko, Esperanza Salazar, and Erika and April Velasquez and many other relatives and friends.
