Obituary for Elizabeth Fuller

Elizabeth Fuller Longtime Santa Fe resident, died peacefully on April 29, 2011.

She was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota on October 29, 1921 and moved permanently to Santa Fe soon after graduation from Mills College. Betsy owned Travel Service Everywhere for many years, and then taught at schools in Santa Fe. She loved fishing, hiking and backpacking, and was instrumental in starting the Santa Fe group of the Sierra Club and their hiking book, "Day Hikes in the Santa Fe Area."

She was a longtime member of the Santa Fe Chili and Marching Society. She is survived by her nephew, Charles Seller of New York, and niece, Elizabeth Rhinesmith of Illinois. Betsy introduced so many people to the magic of her beloved New Mexico; she will be remembered with appreciation and love.

Betsy's ashes will be scattered at her favorite fishing hole near the headwaters of the Chama River.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter.
