Obituary for Guy McFall

Guy McFall
GUY PATRICK MCFALL

April 15, 1991 to July 15, 2011

Guy McFall was born in Santa Fe to Jeff McFall and Paula Maynes on April 15, 1991. He died on July 15, 2011 by his own hand. In the past year, Guy struggled with depression.

He is survived by his parents, by his brother, Hugh, by his grandmothers, Georgann McFall and Mary Jeanne Turtle (husband Dennis), and by his aunts and uncles: Jane Davenport, George and Carol McFall and Stewart and Marcia Maynes. He is also survived by his cousins: Jackson, Mitchell and Charles Maynes, Jenifer and Bret Metz and Rex and Zoe Enright. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Joe Maynes and Glen McFall, and by his grandmother Norma Maynes. He was predeceased by his uncles Stanton Maynes and John Davenport.

Guy was a sweet, kind, and loving young man. He was loved by many friends. He had great talents: he was an artist, a musician, and a scholar. He had a wry sense of humor and penetrating intelligence. He was a keen listener to the human conversation around him, and he was a master of argument and insight in his speech. Guy loved the spoken word; he loved to be read to by his parents and he loved to listen to recording of great voices reading great books. He loved the human voice; he loved a great story.

His family invites you to remember Guy Patrick’s life and many accomplishments. His family asks all who read this to show special kindness to those young adult in their lives who may be struggling with depression and loneliness. The funeral Eucharist was celebrated on July 23, 2011 at Christ Lutheran Church in Santa Fe located at 1701 Arroyo Chamiso, Santa Fe, 983-9461.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Interfaith Community Shelter (ICS) at Santa Fe-Resource and Opportunity Center (SF-ROC) or the Santa Fe Youth Shelter in care of Christ Lutheran Church in Santa Fe.
The McFall family has entrusted their loved one to:
