Edna Mae Holmes, 86, assed away on Feb. 24, 2011. She was born in Taos to Jacob and Lola Linebarger and raised on their homestead near Servilleta, NM with her brothers, Jesse and Jack and her sister Norma. She married Hacel Holmes in 1940 and lived at the Holmes Logging Cam near Cañon Plaza, NM. In 1946 they moved to Taos where they raised their 3 children. Edna enjoyed gardening, sewing leated fiesta skirts and quilting. She always loved family gatherings and cooking for the whole bunch. She was receded in death by her husband of 36 years, daughter, Wilma Driskell, arents and brothers. She is survived by her daughter Gloria Arlean Romero, son Sherman "Butch" Holmes and his wife Lorra, sister Norma Walker, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nehews, family members and friends.



Visitation was held on March 07, 2011 with funeral services at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
