MARJORIE ELLVINGER, 88, long time Santa Fe Resident, passed away early Monday, August 15, 2011 at her Santa Fe home. She was born May 22, 1923 in Woodbine, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Nellie Coyle. She and John Ellvinger married November 9, 1946 in South Amboy, New Jersey. Marjorie served two years in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer during World War II. She worked as a school teacher for over 35 years in the Iowa and New Jersey school systems, and for several years served as a Sunday School Teacher for St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Edward and Nellie Coyle, two brothers, Lewis and Richard Coyle; and two sisters, Ethel Petty and Dorothy Boustead. Marjorie is survived by her loving husband, her constant care giver during her illness, John Ellvinger of Santa Fe; her sons, Jack Ellvinger of Santa Fe, and Marc Ellvinger of South Amboy, New Jersey; three sisters, Lois McColley of Onawa, Iowa, Bonnie Van Deusen of Denver, and Katherine Stevens of Woodbine, Iowa; four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm Friday, August 19, 2011 till 8:00 pm at the Rivera Family Chapel at Santa Fe Funeral Options, 417 E. Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Rivera Family Chapel at Santa Fe Funeral Options, with Owen Kunkel presiding. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jack Ellvinger, Marc Ellvinger, Christopher Ellvinger, Jessica Ellvinger, Jacqueline Ellvinger, and Marc Ellvinger.
